This album is compiled from sessions recorded in the winter of 1988/89. We had released two LP length cassettes recorded in our basement on a 4- track reel to reel- ANOTHER SENSELESS BREAKFAST (1985) and INSURMOUNTABLE OPPORTUNITIES (1987). We upgraded the home studio to 8-track and recorded some 30 songs with the intention of compiling the best tracks onto a vinyl album. Roughly half of the songs were rerecorded versions from the first two albums and half new songs. The line up fell apart before the project was completed and the tapes lay untouched for decades. When we eventually revisited them, we found that the masters had deteriorated and all we could salvage were some cassette rough mixes of some of the tracks. I had some trepidation about releasing these as they are not finished recordings but rough mixes and didn't reflect what a good job Bill was doing at producing the sessions. At the end of the day I decided that it was worth it for the strength of the songs and to document what was an incredibly fun and productive time. Thanks for listening.
